Over $100 billion in U.S. alcohol sales flows through bars and restaurants annually, yet alcohol brands lacked a systematic way to analyze their performance in this “on-premise” channel. A leading FinTech company hired Palomar to solve this industry-wide problem.
Palomar's Solution
We designed, built, and operated a patent-pending Restaurant Data and Insights factory. This solution aggregated raw POS data feeds from 15 POS vendors and 30,000 U.S. locations, combined with dozens of third-party data sets. The solution delivered a self-serve analytics platform for brands, distributors, and hedge funds.
Key Results
The platform delivers actionable, weekly insights with 3 years of rolling history. The solution utilizes an NLP/NER expert system (R-Studio) to provide in-depth category, brand, and menu analytics.
